    You must be accepted as registered students by the ACCA. Minimum requirements are normally two A Levels and five GCSEs including Mathematics and English, although alternative qualifications are accepted. The exemptions given are dependent upon further qualifications e.g. non-relevant degree, HND or relevant degree.

    In addition to the above requirements, for international students who are not from a majority English speaking country (as per UKVI’s list), you must be able to furnish satisfactory evidence of attainment in English language. In most cases, an IELTS score of at least 6.0 overall with no band less than 5.5 or an alternative qualification evidencing an equivalent competence in English will be required. International qualifications will also be considered. Please refer to the ACCA website for specific details.

Entry Requirements

UK students

No prior work experience is required to be eligible for entry to this MBA International programme.

You will need to satisfy the general admissions requirements of the programme, which are as follows:

One of the following:

An honours degree of a British University or equivalent institution (minimum 2:2). For the 18-month version, a third-class honours or ordinary degree

An equivalent graduate level qualification from an overseas university or equivalent institution (minimum 2:2). For the 18-month version, a third-class honours or ordinary degree

A graduate level professional qualification in an appropriate field of study

A pre-masters programme approved by Birmingham City University.

Other qualifications will be considered on a case by case basis.

If you are a mature student but do not fulfil the standard entry requirements outlined above, your application will also be considered.

English Language requirements

Essential

International students must be able to furnish satisfactory evidence of a level of attainment in English Language commensurate with study at Master’s level in the University.

In most cases, this will be a minimum TOEFL score of 57.5 or a minimum IELTS score of 6.0 average (minimum of 5.5 in each band).

In addition, a GMAT score of at least 500 is preferable, but is not an admissions requirement.

References

Applicants should provide two academic references in support of their application to the Master of Business Administration International course and may be subject to interview.
